Our worship surroundings are an important part of how we experience God and express ourselves to him. Looking around the sactuary, you will notice art, candles, a colorful cloth on the communion table and other items that focus our Sunday worship. Additionally, our Christmas, Holy Week, and Good Friday services each call for their own particular designs. We welcome new members to the team that develops this ministry. Please contact Emily Boyer if you are interested.
Our Art Gallery showcases works by members of our congregation and artists in the greater New Haven community. We feature about four exhibitions each year, each with the opportunity for artists to meet our congregation and discuss their work. We welcome a variety of art forms, including painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, textiles, and more. Past exhibitions include students from the Paier College of Art, the New Haven Brush and Palette Club, and Overseas Ministries Study Center artists-in-residence. The gallery is located on the walls of the Fellowship Hall, so the art can be viewed and enjoyed whenever that space is used, as well as by appointment with the church administrator.
